1. Always be objective

Accountants are paid to provide clients with facts, not opinions or bias regarding those facts. Objectivity also goes hand-in-hand with ethical standards as unethical practices often result from an accountant being swayed by outside opinions or emotions instead of looking at what is best for their client every time – which is the goal of every accountant.
